Specimen weight: .32 Grams – 5 Grains Size: 8.3X6.1X4.7 mm Intruded with precious metal, quartz become highly collectible. Now you’ve entered into the mystical realm of GOLD! Since it contains VG (visible gold), this is definitely high grade ore. Miners don’t often luck onto pockets, veins, even isolated float rocks with visible gold showing in them. Other mines, like the Gympie-Eldorado, were super-enriched with bonanza ore. With high grade like this, you don’t need a pocket lens to see the oro. No milling and panning necessary. Within those rock piles, I observed every color of the rainbow; white, orange, yellow, red rust, black, burnt, cindery-looking rocks. Even though I appreciate gold more than the average Joe or Jill, unfortunately, I could never afford to become a collector.
